An inspector will:
(a) act impartially in the best interests of his client, with integrity, fairness, honesty and professionalism.
(b) promptly inform his client of outside dealings which may appear to affect his objectivity.
An inspector will not:
(a) perform or obtain repair or other work related to the inspection.
(b) offer opinions on items of which he is not, knowledgeable, experienced, or familiar.
(c) benefit financially from real estate transactions as a result of the inspection.
(d) reveal the contents of the inspection without the consent of the client.
(e) accept compensation from more than one party for the same inspection without consent of all parties involved.
(f) offer commissions or compensation to other parties dealing with their client.
In order to be objective the inspector must avoid all conflicts of interest.
